BMW Motorrad starts accepting pre-bookings for the new F 450 GS adventure motorcycle across India dealerships
BMW Motorrad has opened pre-bookings for the F 450 GS in India. Interested buyers can now visit authorised dealerships to reserve the motorcycle ahead of its launch on 23 April 2026.
This step brings the new adventure tourer closer to Indian roads. The F 450 GS replaces the G 310 GS in the brand’s portfolio and expands options in the mid-displacement adventure segment.
Platform and Design
The F 450 GS uses a new steel trellis frame and lightweight components. It weighs around 178 kg, which supports better handling on varied surfaces. The design includes long-travel suspension, 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels, and off-road geometry.
Engine and Performance
A newly developed 420cc parallel-twin engine powers the F 450 GS. It produces 48 hp and 43 Nm of torque. The engine pairs with a six-speed gearbox and delivers usable performance across the rev range.

Position in Indian Mobility
The BMW F 450 GS strengthens premium adventure options for Indian riders. It suits daily commutes in cities and longer weekend trips on highways and trails. The bike meets BS6 Phase 2B norms and prioritises efficiency, featuring a 14-litre fuel tank.
Dealership networks across major cities now accept bookings for the F 450 GS. This improves access for buyers in tier-1 and select tier-2 markets.
Beyond the Spec Sheet
The BMW F 450 GS enables riders to move between urban traffic and rough roads without frequent stops. Weekend explorers gain reliable access to hill stations and lesser-known routes. Lower kerb weight improves agility during daily movement and reduces fatigue on long rides. Running costs stay controlled through decent fuel efficiency for this class. Owners experience more confident behaviour on mixed surfaces as the dedicated adventure setup builds trust in everyday use.
