VinFast Indonesia partners with the local government to fully finance and build the Manyingsal Interchange on the key Cipali Toll Road
VinFast Indonesia signed a strategic cooperation agreement on 14 January 2026. The partners include the Subang Regency Government and PT Lintas Marga Sedaya, operator of the Cipali Toll Road. The project covers construction, operation, and maintenance of the Manyingsal Interchange at Km 115+500.
This development matters because VinFast Indonesia fully finances the project. It includes planning, feasibility studies, permitting, and construction costs. The agreement supports faster infrastructure rollout without burdening local government budgets.
VinFast Indonesia strengthens its presence in West Java. The company operates its EV assembly plant in Subang, which started production in 2025 after quick construction.
Context and System Relevance
The Manyingsal Interchange sits on the Cipali Toll Road. This road links Cikampek to Palimanan and forms part of Indonesia’s major east-west corridor. The new interchange improves access to Subang Regency and nearby industrial areas.
Better connectivity reduces travel time for vehicles moving between Jakarta and eastern Java. It eases bottlenecks at existing junctions and supports higher traffic volumes from growing industrial activity.

Infrastructure Implications
VinFast Indonesia’s full funding accelerates the project timeline. The maximum completion period is three years from permit issuance. The Ministry of Public Works gave in-principle approval on 15 December 2025.
The interchange enhances logistics efficiency for goods movement. Trucks and commercial vehicles can access industrial zones near Subang directly. This lowers transit costs and improves delivery reliability along the corridor.
The agreement aligns with VinFast Indonesia’s broader commitment to local development. It complements the operational Subang plant and supports regional industrial growth.
Beyond the Spec Sheet
The Manyingsal Interchange shortens journey times for daily commuters and long-haul drivers on the Cipali route. Goods transport sees faster movement with fewer delays at congested points. Logistics operators reduce fuel and time costs through optimised routes.
Businesses in Subang and the surrounding areas gain reliable access to national highways. This improves supply chain efficiency for manufacturing and distribution. Road users experience smoother flow and lower congestion-related stress during peak hours.
Communities near the interchange benefit from easier travel to jobs and services. Freight reliability increases for time-sensitive deliveries across Java.
