Skoda India has announced that the new-generation Skoda Superb, showcased at the Bharat Mobility Show 2025 on June 16, 2025, will be launched in India this year as a Completely Built Unit (CBU).
This flagship sedan, known for its luxurious design and advanced technology, is set to redefine Skoda’s presence in the premium sedan segment, though pricing details remain under wraps.
The new Skoda Superb features a sleek, modern design with a sharper front fascia, LED matrix headlights, and a refined interior. It is expected to be powered by a 2.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine, producing around 190 horsepower, paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission.
The cabin boasts a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital driver’s display, and premium materials, positioning it as a rival to the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord.
As a CBU, the Superb will likely carry a premium price tag, estimated to start above Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom), reflecting import duties and taxes.
Skoda’s decision to import the Superb aligns with its strategy to test market demand for premium offerings before considering local assembly. The sedan’s advanced safety features, including Level 2 ADAS, multiple airbags, and a robust chassis, ensure compliance with stringent global safety standards.
The Superb’s launch comes at a time when Skoda is expanding its footprint in India, with plans to increase its dealership network and introduce electric vehicles.
The Bharat Mobility Show provided a platform to showcase the Superb’s elegance and engineering, generating significant interest among luxury car buyers. Posts on X highlight the sedan’s premium appeal, with many praising its blend of comfort and performance.
Skoda’s focus on premium models like the Superb reflects its ambition to capture a larger share of India’s luxury car market. The CBU route ensures that Indian buyers get the latest global-spec model, reinforcing Skoda’s commitment to quality and innovation.
