Porsche has launched the Porsche 911 GT3 90 F.A. edition to mark what would have been the 90th birthday of Ferdinand Alexander Porsche. Known as F.A. or Butzi, he designed the iconic 911 silhouette in the 1960s. Moreover, he founded Porsche Design in 1972. This special model honours his timeless philosophy: form follows function.

Developed by Porsche’s Sonderwunsch division in collaboration with F.A.’s son Mark, the Porsche 911 GT3 90 F.A. edition draws inspiration from F.A.’s personal 1980s G-body 911. However, it builds on the current 911 GT3 Touring Package. Buyers enjoy the high-revving 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-six engine delivering 502 hp. Additionally, it offers a subtle adaptive rear spoiler for everyday usability.
Timeless Design Elements
The Porsche 911 GT3 90 F.A. edition shines with bespoke F.A. Green metallic paint. This colour echoes the Oak Green of F.A.’s own car, yet adds a modern twist. Furthermore, satin black Sport Classic wheels feature 1963 Porsche crests on centre locks. A gold plaque on the rear decklid proudly displays the “90 F.A. Porsche” logo.
Inside, Truffle Brown Club leather combines with F.A. Grid-Weave fabric on seats. This pattern recreates F.A.’s favourite sport coat in threads of black, green, cream, and bordeaux. In addition, an open-pore walnut shift knob and a Sport Chrono clock inspired by the original Chronograph 1 enhance the cabin. Plaques bear F.A.’s signature and a 911 silhouette.
Each owner receives a matching limited Chronograph 1 watch and weekender bag. Thus, the experience extends beyond driving.
