Honda introduces a dedicated programme for reproducing parts and restoring iconic models, starting with the NSX, ensuring enthusiasts can keep their classics running for years

Honda has unveiled exciting plans for classic car enthusiasts with the launch of Honda Heritage Works. This new initiative focuses on supporting discontinued sports models. Moreover, it addresses the growing challenge of finding parts for older vehicles.

Honda Heritage Works includes two key services. First, Honda Heritage Parts will reproduce discontinued components. These come in two types: compatible parts with modern improvements and exact reproduction parts using original materials and methods. Additionally, parts will be available globally through standard Honda channels starting April 2026.

Second, Honda Restoration Service offers full restorations in Japan. It builds on the long-running NSX Refresh Plan from 1993. However, this renewed service uses the new heritage parts to restore original performance and appearance. Applications for NSX restorations begin in January 2026 at the Takanezawa facility.

Global Access to Authentic Parts

Owners worldwide rejoice over Honda Heritage Works. Previously, sourcing genuine parts for classics proved difficult. Now, enthusiasts can buy factory-backed components easily. For instance, improved parts incorporate new technologies for better durability. In contrast, reproduction parts maintain authenticity for purists.

This move aligns Honda with rivals like Toyota and Nissan. They already run similar heritage programmes. Therefore, Honda Heritage Works strengthens the brand’s commitment to its legacy. Enthusiasts expect expanded support soon.

Preserving Icons for Future Generations

Honda Heritage Works promises significant implications. Classics like the NSX, and potentially S2000 or Type R models, will stay roadworthy longer. As a result, values may rise with reliable maintenance options. Furthermore, more cars could appear at shows and events.

The programme encourages preservation over modification. Owners gain confidence in long-term ownership. In addition, it boosts community engagement among fans. Overall, Honda Heritage Works ensures iconic sports cars thrive for decades.

This development excites the automotive world. Honda Heritage Works not only revives parts supply but also honours engineering heritage. Consequently, classic Honda drivers look forward to a brighter future.
