New flagship SUV with 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine and advanced 4WD system enters the premium segment
MG Motor India will launch the MG Majestor SUV on April 20. The model replaces the Gloster as the brand’s new flagship.
This launch matters because it strengthens MG’s presence in the premium large SUV segment. The MG Majestor SUV brings updated features and a higher position above the existing Gloster.
Engine and Platform Details
The MG Majestor SUV uses a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine. It produces 215 hp and 478 Nm of torque. An 8-speed automatic transmission handles power delivery.

Sharp and Savvy trims are available. The Sharp variant offers rear-wheel drive. The Savvy trim offers both rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive with low-range capability.
Position in Indian Mobility
The new MG SUV measures over 5 metres in length. It supports 6-seat or 7-seat configurations with flexible second and third rows. The design improves space for passengers and luggage.
