Skoda India has confirmed the launch of the high-performance Octavia RS for 2025, a highlight from the Bharat Mobility Show 2025 held in New Delhi.
The Octavia RS is set to bring sporty dynamics to the premium sedan segment, with an estimated price of Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom). This announcement has generated significant buzz among enthusiasts eager for a performance-oriented sedan.
The Skoda Octavia RS is powered by a 2.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine, delivering approximately 245 horsepower and 370 Nm of torque. Paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission, it promises exhilarating performance, with a 0-100 kmph sprint in under 7 seconds.
The RS variant features a sport-tuned suspension, larger alloy wheels, and a distinctive exterior with blacked-out accents, a rear spoiler, and red brake calipers. Inside, it offers sport seats, a flat-bottom steering wheel, and a 10-inch infotainment system with connected car technology.
Positioned as a premium offering, the Octavia RS will compete with models like the Volkswagen Tiguan and Hyundai Tucson in terms of pricing, though its performance credentials set it apart.
