Maruti Suzuki has reintroduced the Grand Vitara CNG in India, enhancing its appeal with a robust safety package and premium features. The 2025 Grand Vitara CNG is available in two variants Delta and Zetapriced at ₹13.48 lakh and ₹15.62 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. The most notable update is the inclusion of six airbags as standard across both variants, aligning the CNG trims with their petrol counterparts in terms of safety. This move comes as part of Maruti’s ongoing commitment to passenger safety and aligns with evolving consumer expectations in the Indian market.

Under the hood, the Grand Vitara CNG is powered by a 1.5-litre K-Series petrol engine, delivering 89hp and 121.5Nm in CNG mode, paired with a five-speed manual transmission. The model boasts an impressive claimed mileage of 26.6 km/kg, making it one of the most efficient SUVs in its segment. In petrol mode, the engine offers 103hp and 137Nm, providing versatility for users who want the flexibility of dual-fuel options.

The Zeta CNG variant now features ventilated front seats, a wireless charger, an air purifier with a PM2.5 filter, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and a large 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Additional highlights include a Clarion sound system, automatic climate control, connected car technology, a reverse camera, keyless entry with push-button start, and stylish 17-inch alloy wheels.

Maruti Suzuki’s Senior Executive Officer, Partho Banerjee, emphasized that the new Grand Vitara S-CNG delivers “remarkable fuel efficiency without compromising on its exhilarating SUV drive experience.” The addition of advanced safety features like ESP with Hill Hold Assist, ABS with EBD, and ISOFIX child seat restraint system further strengthens its family-friendly credentials.

With these updates, Maruti Suzuki aims to reinforce its leadership in the CNG segment and cater to the growing demand for safer, more feature-rich vehicles in India.
