Special edition of flagship electric SUV adds exclusive colours and premium interiors while retaining 79 kWh battery and 656 km claimed range
Mahindra has launched the XEV 9e Cineluxe Edition priced at Rs 29.35 lakh ex-showroom. This special edition builds on the Pack Three trim with the 79 kWh battery pack. Bookings open on 2 March 2026 and deliveries start from 10 March 2026.
The launch matters now because it offers a more premium option in the growing electric SUV segment. The Mahindra XEV 9e Cineluxe Edition sits between the Pack Three Select at Rs 28.65 lakh and the top Pack Three at Rs 31.25 lakh. It targets buyers seeking enhanced aesthetics without full top-spec cost.
Exclusive Design Updates
The Mahindra XEV 9e Cineluxe Edition introduces two new exterior colours: Satin Black and Satin White. These pair with Chestnut Brown and Nocturne Black smooth-grain leatherette interiors. The edition focuses on visual and tactile upgrades for a more indulgent feel.

Mechanically, the Mahindra XEV 9e remains unchanged. It uses the same rear-mounted electric motor producing 282 bhp and 380 Nm torque. The 79 kWh BYD Blade LFP battery delivers a claimed MIDC range of 656 km. Real-world range exceeds 500 km in metro conditions with AC on.
Powertrain and Charging Details
The Mahindra XEV 9e supports DC fast charging from 20 to 100 per cent in about 20 minutes with 180 kW input. AC charging options include 7.2 kW or 11 kW chargers. The architecture uses the INGLO platform with independent suspension and advanced features such as variable-gear-ratio steering.
In India’s mobility landscape, the Mahindra XEV 9e strengthens local premium electric choices. It competes with models such as the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the BYD Atto 3. The edition adds appeal for urban buyers in cities like Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru, where a longer range reduces daily charging needs.
Beyond the Spec Sheet
The Mahindra XEV 9e enables families to cover inter-city distances with fewer stops and lower energy costs per kilometre. Daily commuters gain reliable access to workplaces without range anxiety in traffic. Goods movement benefits from consistent performance across varied road conditions.
Users experience quieter cabin environments, improving comfort during long drives. Lower running costs encourage a shift away from ICE vehicles among premium buyers. Enhanced interiors promote relaxed behaviour in ownership, while dedicated charging networks build confidence in electric adoption.
