Citroen India has rolled out the highly anticipated Citroen C3X, a bold addition to its compact SUV lineup, under the “Citroen 2.0 – Shift Into the New” strategy. This launch introduces 15 cutting-edge features, fresh colour options, and a starting price of just ₹5.25 lakh (ex-showroom), making the Citroen C3X a game-changer in its segment.

With deliveries set to begin in early September 2025, this SUV-styled vehicle promises enhanced comfort and affordability, but it’s the advanced technology that truly sets it apart. But what makes this launch stand out, and how does it impact potential owners?

Why Does the Citroen C3X Stand Out in the Market?

The Citroen C3X blends style, practicality, and innovation. Its SUV-inspired design retains the signature split LED DRLs and a robust front grille, while a 180mm ground clearance ensures versatility on city streets and highways. Inside, the C3X Shine variants boast a premium leatherette-wrapped dashboard and a 10.25-inch Citroen Connect touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Safety is a priority, with six airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), and a segment-first Proxi-Sense Passive Entry system that unlocks the car automatically. A HALO 360-degree camera, available for an additional ₹25,000, enhances visibility with seven viewing modes. These features position the Citroen C3X as a tech-savvy, value-driven choice. How do these upgrades align with your driving needs?

The vehicle offers two engine options: a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine (82bhp) with a 5-speed manual and a 1.2-litre turbo engine (110bhp) with a 6-speed manual or automatic. With a mileage of up to 19.3 kmpl and a 0–100 kmph sprint in under 10 seconds, the Citroen C3X balances efficiency and performance.

Five monotone colours, Polar White, Steel Grey, Cosmo Blue, Perla Nera Black, and Garnet Red, along with two dual-tone options, add a vibrant touch. Which colour would you pick to match your style?

What Are the Benefits and Value for Buyers?

Affordability sets the Citroen C3X apart, with prices ranging from ₹5.25 lakh for the base Live variant to ₹9.89 lakh for the top-spec Shine Turbo AT. A dealer-fit CNG kit, priced at ₹93,000, caters to eco-conscious buyers. The price cuts on existing C3 variants, up to ₹1.25 lakh, make the lineup even more attractive.

Features like cruise control with a speed limiter and tropicalised AC cooling below 14°C enhance comfort for long drives. Shailesh Hazela, MD & CEO of Stellantis India, emphasised, “We’re redefining value with aspirational features and robust performance at a price that resonates with Indian customers.” How might these savings and features influence your decision to buy?

The Citroen C3X competes with rivals like Tata Punch and Renault Kiger, offering segment-first technologies and a spacious cabin with 1,378 mm rear shoulder room and a 315-litre boot. Its “flying carpet” suspension ensures a smooth ride, ideal for Indian roads. For buyers seeking a blend of style, safety, and affordability, the Citroen C3X delivers unmatched value.
