2026 Supersport roadster brings 210 hp and M-division upgrades to Indian roads via the CBU route
BMW Motorrad India launched the BMW M 1000 R on 16 March 2026. The supersport roadster carries a price tag of Rs 33.50 lakh ex-showroom.
This launch introduces the M-division version of the S 1000 R to the Indian market. The M 1000 R arrives as a CBU unit. Bookings are open now. Deliveries start in May 2026.
Performance Specifications
The BMW M 1000 R uses a 999 cc inline-four engine. It produces 210 hp and 113 Nm of torque. Acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph takes 3.2 seconds. Top speed reaches 280 kmph.
The engine derives from the S 1000 RR supersport. It includes BMW ShiftCam variable valve control. This setup supports high-rev performance.
Design and Aerodynamics
The BMW M 1000 R features signature M winglets. These increase the front wheel load by up to 11 kg at 220 kmph. The design improves stability at high speeds.
A new dual-flow LED headlight provides better visibility. The overall styling remains aggressive and functional.
