Tata Motors redefines the electric SUV landscape with the Harrier EV, offering advanced tech, long range, and rugged design tailored for Indian roads.
In a landmark move for India’s electric mobility sector, Tata Motors has officially launched the Tata Harrier EV, a fully electric version of its popular SUV. This launch marks a significant evolution in Tata’s electrification strategy, reinforcing its position as a leader in the Indian EV market.
The Tata Harrier EV is built on its Gen 2 EV architecture, derived from the Omega platform that shares lineage with Land Rover’s D8. It features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, delivering robust performance across terrains.
With a claimed range of over 500 km on a single charge, the Harrier EV is designed for long-distance travel without range anxiety. Fast-charging capabilities allow the battery to reach 80% in under 40 minutes, making it practical for urban and highway use.
Design-wise, the Harrier EV retains its muscular stance but adds futuristic touches like a closed grille, aerodynamic wheels, and EV-specific lighting. Inside, it boasts a panoramic sunroof, a 12.3-inch infotainment system, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), including lane-keep assist and adaptive cruise control.
Tata Motors has priced the Harrier EV competitively, aiming to attract both existing Harrier owners and new buyers looking for a premium electric SUV. The launch is part of Tata’s broader goal to electrify its entire portfolio by 2030, with the Harrier EV serving as a flagship offering.
Commenting on the competitive pricing strategy of the Harrier.ev, Mr. Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., said, “With Harrier.ev we intend to unleash the true potential of an SUV – delivering unparalleled supercar like performance, go-anywhere off-road capability, and indulgent technology with luxurious comfort. What makes the Harrier.ev truly remarkable is that it offers all this at price parity with ICE-powered vehicles—while surpassing them in performance, capability, technology, and safety.
With bookings of the Harrier.ev starting from 2nd July, below are the introductory prices for its personas powered by Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD). Prices of Quad Wheel Drive (QWD) dual-motor powered personas will be announced on 27th June 2025.

The Tata Harrier EV is expected to appeal to urban professionals, tech-savvy families, and sustainability-conscious consumers who want performance without compromising on eco-friendliness. With this launch, Tata Motors is not just selling a car, it’s shaping the future of mobility in India.
