MG Motor India confirms February 12 launch for Majestor, its new three-row flagship SUV positioned above Gloster
MG Motor India has confirmed the launch of the MG Majestor on February 12, 2026. This three-row SUV becomes the brand’s new flagship model.
The announcement matters now because it strengthens MG’s presence in the premium full-size SUV segment. The MG Majestor targets family buyers and those seeking larger vehicles for long drives.
Design and Platform Details
The MG Majestor uses a ladder-frame chassis for better durability. It draws from the Maxus D90 platform. The design includes a large gloss-black grille, vertically stacked LED headlights, and rugged cladding.
Connected LED tail lamps and dual exhaust outlets mark the rear. The SUV offers 19-inch dual-tone alloys. These elements give the MG Majestor a tough appearance suited to Indian roads.

Powertrain and Features
The MG Majestor comes with a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine. It produces 216 hp and 479 Nm of torque. An 8-speed automatic gearbox and 4WD system handle power delivery.

The cabin offers three rows with 6- or 7-seater options. Dual 12.3-inch screens cover infotainment and driver display. Features include panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, Level 2 ADAS, and 360-degree camera.
These additions improve comfort and safety for occupants. The setup supports both city use and highway travel.
Beyond the Spec Sheet
The MG Majestor improves family movement on long trips. Three rows provide space for more people without crowding. Larger families access reliable transport for school runs or weekend outings.
Goods transport gains from the ladder-frame strength. It handles rough roads better during delivery or travel. Higher torque aids towing or carrying loads.
Cost of ownership stays manageable with diesel efficiency on highways. Reliability increases on varied terrain. Owners shift behaviour towards premium SUVs for daily and occasional use.
